About

I am currently a Lecturer in the experimental Center for Learning Innovation (CLI) at the University of Minnesota - Rochester. My areas of research interest include, but are not limited to: Classical American Philosophy (especially the work of John Dewey), History of Analytic Philosophy (especially the work of Reichenbach and later Wittgenstein), Ethics (both theoretical and applied), Philosophy of Biology, Philosophy of Neuroscience, and Philosophy of Science (generally construed). Most of my work in philosophy of science deals with explanation, especially pragmatics. I also have interests in logic (slowly, but surely, I am trying to teach myself modal logic) and certain aspects of medical humanities. In the past I have worked on figures in Continental philosophy, as well as on issues concerning ethics and physical fitness.
